SSI Specialty Diver is your first step toward becoming an SSI Master Diver, and can begin as soon as you complete your Open Water Diver training. By completing any two SSI Specialty programs that interest you, and logging 12 open water dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Specialty Diver recognition rating along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.
SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is the next recognition rating on the path to becoming an SSI Master Diver, and includes four SSI Specialty program Digital Kits. After completing the four SSI Specialty programs that interest you, as well as 24 logged dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition rating, along with your SSI Specialty program certifications.

What are the prerequisites?
Be a “Rescue” diver and be at least 18 years old. Have completed training in emergency first aid (primary and secondary care) in the past 24 months. Have a medical certificate clearing you for scuba diving. Have logged at least 40 dives to start the course and 60 dives to obtain certification. Please note that our price DOES NOT INCLUDE teaching materials and certification costs (2,5M IDR).
Note that although standards requires a minimum of 40 dives at the start of the course, we strongly recommend that you begin with more. The Dive Master course teaches you how to lead dives and how to organise diving activities through knowledge development sessions, exercises and practical workshops. Theory and practical workshops will cover:
The role, characteristics and duties of a Dive Master. The supervision of diving activities and student divers. Safety and risk management for divers. Conducting the activities specific to a Dive Master. The business of diving. Environmental awareness and protection of the oceans. Planning and managing dive trips. Mapping a dive site. Dive briefings. Review of rescue techniques at sea. Conducting deep dives (40m). Maintenance and use of equipment related to diving.
