Amare runs on five small teams — instructors, dive guides, the boat crew, the kitchen, and the office. Most of us live in Labuan Bajo year-round. Many of us were diving Komodo before there was a dive centre on our corner. Below is who you’ll meet when you book a trip.

SSI Instructors

Multilingual, qualified SSI instructors. We’ve taught beginners through to Divemaster candidates across Indonesia and beyond. We’re picky about safety and just as picky about making sure people enjoy the day.

Dive Guides

Thousands of logged dives in Komodo National Park — combined. They know which corner of Batu Bolong holds the school of fusiliers at outgoing tide, which morning Manta Point produces, and where the macro hides at Wainilu. They’re also the people who notice when a guest needs a second to settle before descending.

Boat Captain & Engineer

Our captain knows these channels — currents, mooring lines, weather windows — the way other people know their commute. The engineer keeps the boat moving and the compressors honest. Together they’re the reason the day runs on time.

The Kitchen

Hot lunch, cooked between dives in the open galley. Indonesian classics, fresh fruit, no compromise food — and yes, we cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal. Tell us when you book.

Office & Bookings

The people answering your WhatsApp at 7am. They’ll help you build the right trip, sort the park fees, arrange your pickup, and remember your name when you walk in.

Come say hi

We’re a five-minute walk from the harbour. Drop by the office, or message us before you fly in.
