Cunca Wulang Waterfall

  • Duration: full day, 7–9 hours
  • Includes: boat, ranger fees, Padar Island hike, Pink Beach, dragon viewing on Komodo or Rinca

For non-divers or a rest day. The classic Komodo experience without the wetsuit — dragons on land, viewpoints, beaches, and a slow boat through the channels.

Komodo Island day tour (non-diving)

Ruteng & Cancar — Rice Terraces

  • Duration: full day, 10–12 hours (long drive)
  • Includes: spider-web rice fields in Cancar, traditional villages around Ruteng, local lunch
  • Best time: April – December

Long day but worth it for the rice terrace photo. Some people overnight in Ruteng and continue east the next morning.

Multi-day tours

  • Highlights: Ruteng, traditional rice fields, Wae Rebo trek, overnight in a Mbaru Niang
  • Best time: April – December
  • Difficulty: moderate trek (3–4 hours uphill)

Day 1 — drive from Labuan Bajo to the Wae Rebo trailhead, stopping at the rice fields. Trek up through coffee plantations and cloud forest. Sleep in a traditional cone-shaped house.

Day 2 — morning in the village, weaving demonstration, trek back to the road, drive to Labuan Bajo.

The single most unforgettable land experience in Flores. Limited spots — book ahead.

  • Highlights: traditional Ngada villages (Bena, Wogo), Mount Kelimutu’s three coloured lakes at sunrise
  • Best time: April – December

Day 1 — drive east to Bajawa, visit Bena and Wogo villages. Overnight in Bajawa.

Day 2 — early start for Kelimutu sunrise. The three lakes change colour year to year — sometimes turquoise, sometimes black, sometimes red. Local legend explains each one. Return via Ende to Labuan Bajo.
